It's been a while...

Phew! Well, I came back with some sketches... I have been randomly sketching one or two designs here or there for this, but most of them are too bad to post. So here are more of the citrus sisters! The curvaceous sister at top is Pompelma Rosa (grapefruit), then the beginnings of the lemon sister... I'm not so sure what her name will be yet. Then also some designs for Arancia (orange, of course) that I really need to work on.

I'm thinking that the grapefruit, lemon, and lime sister will be sailors of some sort, and have a sort of chaotic neutral nature (pardon the geek jargon there). Meanwhile Arancia will be somehow separate from them, and have more of an ethereal/wise vibe to her. I've also decided that she will be quite muscular, as you can see.

Well, those are my meager offerings for now, I'll be coming back later with more citrus sisters and some princesses. Maybe eventually I'll draw a male character.

That's the rough of what I'm working on right now. Feels like too much.




And then I started sketching like a mad woman. Characters in there are Trunks, Vegeta, Bulma, and Bra.

Boys, boys, boys (and a dog girl)

All righty! I'm Ryn, sometimes known as Kathryn. Here's my contribution to the concepting. About all we decided on was adventure comic with a setting similar to early Final Fantasy games or early Dragon Ball comics. I was thinking mostly about background or supporting characters that would help determine a setting. The last few have potential as characters I think.

Okay, dog girl I am a little (a lot) embarrassed by. I've never drawn animal people and it takes a lot of skill for them not not end up being creepy. The one the right is pretty creepy.
Any way I said I wanted animal people in the story because animal people just add a whole level of fun wackiness that I wanted to have. Besides Akira Toriyama has animal people. <3 Toriyama

Bald headed-bushy eye brow swordsman will be a character in the story. He will. He amuses me too much not too.

Girls, girls, girls

Hey, it's Marie here with what appears to be our first post! So, before I dive in, I'll give some info. You see, Kathryn (aka StudioRyn) and I were talking for a while about doing a collaborative sequential project, but we just couldn't decide how to get started. So, we sat down and decided that we wanted to go in an adventure comic aimed toward kids direction, and started a blog. We'll be building it from the ground up right here, starting with character designs/sketches. I'm sure something will emerge eventually.




So here's the first character design I worked on, and really I was just in the mood to draw white girl 'fros. And then I drew a little Dragonball Z stuff for Kathryn.




Then I felt like drawing some vaguely animal-ish girls... And I was low on inspiration so I also doodled a dinosaur.




Which inevitably led to a religious rabbit girl and a petite punk looking girl in vaguely militaristic clothes.




And last but not least, I had an idea to draw sisters with a cirtus fruit theme, so here are the beginnings of the Lime themed sister. I drew her first because I like limes the best.
